Goblintown Hysteria:
In the world of NFT’s sometimes being a degen can end up being the smartest financial move you will ever make. In what has shaped up to be the next in line of major blue chip projects, Goblintown. Goblintown is a PFP( profile pic/picture for proof) collection of Goblins that has shot up to top of the rankings on popular marketplace Opensea. This project embodies everything that makes the NFT space both exciting yet unexplainable. At one point the official account hosted a twitter space for their holders to engage with each other in their own language of “Goblinspeak”. As they say, the greatest form of flattery is imitation and with the recent success many copycat iterations of the project have launched hoping to catch the same lightning in a bottle. This may end up being one of the greatest case studies on the importance of community:
no roadmap,
no major utility
no constant need for Discord updates; simply just vibes with your fellow Goblin.

Crypto Winter?
As we continue to see the crypto market spiral into a downtrend, this has led many skeptics to believe this is the beginning of the end of crypto. Many crypto exchanges including Gemini and Coinbase have executed a mass exodus of layoffs within their companies. Behind the 10% layoff at Gemini were billionaire bitcoiners Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss who stated “turmoil within the geopolitical and macro-economic world have led to a major strain on crypto assets.”While cryptocurrency is known for its volatile nature, the overall market saw the effects of the meltdown that was Terra(USD)/LUNA a popular stablecoin which wiped out nearly $500 billion worth of market cap overnight. With uncertainty looming many expect regulations from policymakers to be on the horizon.
